Towson, MD., July 11, 2013 – Towson University Student Affairs and the Student Government Association would like to welcome Mrs. Jackie Stratmeyer. She will serve as the SGA Accounting Associate and replace Mrs. Pat Szymezak, who retired in May after 17 years of service to the University.
Prior to accepting this position Mrs. Jackie worked in the Financial Services Office, which is in the Division of Administration and Finance. She comes with a wealth of experience in the industry and is looking forward to working with the SGA and the students it serves. Her areas of financial management include the Student Government Association itself, SGA budgeted and affiliated organizations, Sports Clubs, The Campus Activities Board, the University Residence Government, and University Registered Organizations.
Mrs. Jackie works closely with the SGA Treasurer, Laura Martin, to ensure student groups have access to their account balances. She is extremely excited to work with students, which is part of the reason as to why she switched jobs. Kevin Kutner, SGA Vice-President, said he is excited to see a fresh face in the office. He continued by saying, “She is extremely nice and caring, and student groups are really going to enjoy working with her.”
She loves cooking and running but above all she loves Baseball. In her spare time, Mrs. Jackie loves going to major and minor league baseball parks. She also works part time for the Baltimore Orioles in their Fan Services department.
